The intended audience for the program is students in 3^rd-6^th Grades. Each module is 30 minutes in length.

We Care Elementary is a developmentally targeted, trauma-informed sexual abuse prevention program for elementary school communities. We Care Elementary focuses on building children’s healthy relationship skills through multimodal, highly experiential lessons. The program focuses on different topics at each grade level that address the risk and protective factors related to victimization and perpetration.

3^rd Grade: Communicating and Understanding Feelings

4^th Grade: Understanding Personal Boundaries

5^th Grade: Recognizing Boundaries in Others

6^th Grade: Understanding Sexual Harassment

We Care Elementary offers a Training of Trainers Model where SOH staff will provide training to teachers, counselors and other school staff to be able to teach the program.

YourSPACE Middle School

The intended audience for this program is 8th Grade students. The program includes 5 – 50 minute class sessions.

The YourSPACE Program focuses on educating and empowering youth to understand and recognize the hallmarks of healthy relationships to prevent victimization and perpetration, and how to serve as active bystanders to safely intervene in cases of potential violence. The program is age appropriate, gender inclusive, and does not include elements of sexual education.

This 1 – 1.5 hour training is available to general community members, and is great for college students, parent groups, religious institutions, and others.

This introductory presentation helps attendees understand the nature and scope of sexual violence in our communities. Attendees will have a better understanding of what sexual violence is, the difference between consent and coercion, and the many resources of Signs of Hope and other local and national organizations for people who may have experienced sexual violence.
