Signs of Hope offers multiple programs, campaigns, presentations, and curricula designed to raise awareness around and prevent sexual assault, child sexual abuse, human trafficking, and teen dating violence. Age-appropriate programming is available for young people from elementary school to college. We also provide professional trainings for those who work with children in any capacity, and those who work in the hospitality industry. This 1.5 – 3 hour training program is designed to assist K-12 School Staff and Administration in effectively preparing to teach Personal Safety and Violence Prevention in accordance with the Department of Education Health Standards. This training focuses on how the entire school community can engage in creating a safer space for students while teaching the prevention of sexual violence in all of its forms. The target audience for Care for Kids are students in Pre-K – 2nd Grade. Each module lasts 30 minutes. Care for Kids is a developmentally targeted, trauma-informed abuse prevention program for pre-school and elementary school communities. The program focuses on building children’s healthy relationship skills through a series of six multi-modal and experiential lessons. The curriculum teaches children protective factors such as self-esteem, identifying and expressing emotions and anatomically correct terms for body parts. The Enough Abuse Campaign aims to engage adults in addressing child sexual abuse as the public health crisis that it is. Through training, education, policy change, and cultural shift, Enough Abuse works to end child sexual abuse in our communities. This is aimed at adults, including Parents, Youth-Serving Organization staff, the Medical Community, School staff, Clergy and the Faith Community, and others. This program is offered in elementary schools with a target audience of 1st-3rd Graders. The program lasts approximately 90 minutes. This interactive workshop includes teaching children their rights to be safe from all harm. Students learn empowerment skills to protect themselves from bullies and other abusers, and are taught ways to keep themselves safe from strangers, including those on the internet. Signs of Hope has partnered with the LVMPD Crime Prevention Specialists to offer training for security, food and beverage, and other hospitality professionals on how to recognize predatory behavior and vulnerable individuals in club, hotel and casino environments, and intervene to prevent sexual violence before it happens.
