For the past twenty years, the FBI Victim Services Division has stationed Victim Services Specialists in every FBI field office throughout the United States and territories. Victim Services Specialists work with victims of federal crimes during the FBI investigation, providing resources and referrals, emotional support and case status updates. The FBI Victim Services Specialists work closely with local agencies to ensure victims needs are met as well as the US Attorney’s Office’s Victim Witness Coordinator to ensure a continuum of care for those victims whose criminal cases are federally prosecuted.
