Fighting Human Trafficking in Southern Nevada
There are many services providers around Southern Nevada working with individuals who have experienced human trafficking and exploitation. The Victim Services Committee of the Southern Nevada Human Trafficking Taskforce brings together service providers that are committed to adopting best practice standards supported by the Department of Justice - Office for Victims of Crime, and other experts providing national training and technical assistance on effectively working with individuals who have experienced trafficking and exploitation. The RISE (Resources and Integration for Survivor Empowerment) Program at Signs of HOPE serve as the lead victim service provider team, working in close collaboration with law enforcement, hospitality, and other industries as well as service providers to meet the myriad needs of individuals working to move forward in lives free of coercion, manipulation, and exploitation.
