Signs of Hope Counseling

One of the greatest and most common needs of survivors of sexual assault and abuse is therapeutic support through qualified counselors and therapists. The Nevada Women’s Philanthropy Signs of Hope Counseling Center provides therapy specific for survivors of sexual abuse and assault and the members of their support system (i.e. spouses, parents, siblings). Group support options are also available.

The center serves survivors of sexual abuse and assault ages 10 and older. We serve all survivors – any gender, any background, and whether the assault or abuse occurred days or decades ago, regardless of whether the incident was reported to law enforcement. The Signs of Hope Counseling Center is here to help you work through the impact sexual assault is having and has had on your life, and to assist you with the coping and healing process.

There are multiple counselors available and service hours are fairly flexible. Counseling is offered in English and Spanish.  Nuestra terapeuta de habla española está disponible los jueves por la tarde. Contacte nuestra oficina para hacer una cita. Prior to beginning counseling, and intake will be done with an advocate to assure that clients are aware of all services and placed with the counselor likely to be the best fit for them.

Please note, except for parents or guardians of minors scheduling appointments, we do not allow third parties to make appointments.  A client may call in with the assistance of a third party, but must be on the line and confirm that they are seeking counseling in order to make an appointment.  If you are concerned that a loved one needs therapeutic support, please encourage them to call.

No one who is a survivor of sexual assault or abuse will ever be turned away due to an inability to pay for counseling, thanks to our generous sponsors. If clients do have insurance coverage, we will make an effort to bill insurance for appropriate therapeutic services. The Signs of Hope Counseling Center is able to accept Victims of Crime Compensation, Medicaid, and multiple other forms of coverage.  Please call with any specific coverage questions.
