The Southern Nevada Human Trafficking Taskforce

Fighting Human Trafficking in Southern Nevada

There are many services providers around Southern Nevada working with individuals who have experienced human trafficking and exploitation. The Victim Services Committee of the Southern Nevada Human Trafficking Taskforce brings together service providers that are committed to adopting best practice standards supported by the Department of Justice - Office for Victims of Crime, and other experts providing national training and technical assistance on effectively working with individuals who have experienced trafficking and exploitation. The RISE (Resources and Integration for Survivor Empowerment) Program at Signs of HOPE serve as the lead victim service provider team, working in close collaboration with law enforcement, hospitality, and other industries as well as service providers to meet the myriad needs of individuals working to move forward in lives free of coercion, manipulation, and exploitation.

The Resources and Integration for Survivor Empowerment (R.I.S.E.) program provides intensive and comprehensive services to victims of all forms of human trafficking and exploitation. More information

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

For the past twenty years, the FBI Victim Services Division has stationed Victim Services Specialists in every FBI field office throughout the United States and territories. Victim Services Specialists work with victims of federal crimes during the FBI investigation, providing resources and referrals, emotional support and case status updates. The FBI Victim Services Specialists work closely with local agencies to ensure victims needs are met as well as the US Attorney’s Office’s Victim Witness Coordinator to ensure a continuum of care for those victims whose criminal cases are federally prosecuted.

Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY)

Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY) is the most comprehensive service provider for the thousands of unaccompanied homeless youth in Southern Nevada. Exclusively serving unaccompanied homeless youth, ages 12 through 20, NPHY provides free and confidential wraparound services uniquely designed to meet the varied needs of young people. The Embracing Project (TEP) is a Rite of Passage program advocating peace and healing for youth survivors of violence, sexual exploitation, and trafficking, through the development of specialized programs, trauma-informed care, and unconditional support.
